We are happy to announce the latest release of TheoremXR, enabling engineering and manufacturing businesses to enhance their existing design workflows.

Extended Reality (XR) can help engineering and manufacturing companies visualize their CAD data at full scale, providing context and improving understanding of the designs. TheoremXR provides streamlined data preparation and engineering-focused XR experiences, and the recent TheoremXR release introduces a range of new and upgraded features.

What's included in this release?

Optimization Viewer

Optimization Viewer for TheoremXR Visualization Pipeline

First, the Optimization Viewer lets you preview and trial optimization options before applying them from within the Visualization Pipeline, reducing rework and ensuring you get it right first time. These defined options can then be saved, for easy replication across multiple CAD models.

2-Handed Grab Mode

TheoremXR 2-Handed Grab Mode for Virtual Reality

Our new 2-Handed Grab feature for Virtual Reality (VR) users supports both proximity and laser grabs with two hands, offering a more natural way to manipulate and rotate models. Pair it with path analysis mode for better real-world comparisons.

VR Passthrough Support

We’re also excited about VR Passthrough Support for Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro and Varjo XR-3, letting you drop CAD models onto real-world surfaces for context-based viewing and seamless interaction with reality.

Deep Linking for HoloLens 2

TheoremXR Deep Linking for HoloLens 2

Deep linking for HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality enables the reading of QR codes from the Visualization Pipeline, for seamless loading of 3D models directly into your application.

This feature was previously implemented for Augmented Reality users with handheld devices and is now being expanded to Mixed Reality users.

Azure Remote Rendering for Desktop and Quest

Finally, Azure Remote Rendering is now supported on Desktop and Quest. Now, you can stream full fidelity, huge data from the Azure Cloud to your devices, without worrying about performance issues.

In Summary

These new features provide even more ways to work with Extended Reality, expanding the capabilities of TheoremXR. The new optimization viewer, and passthrough support for Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, and Varjo XR-3 offer additional options when working with XR. The deep linking capabilities for HoloLens 2, and Azure Rendering support for Desktop and Meta Quest make using XR more efficient on those devices. Finally, the new 2-hand grab feature is another step in making XR even more intuitive.
