Sharing CAD and Visualization data
We provide solutions for the effective sharing of all geometry, product structure, and attribute information between 3DEXPERIENCE and other CAD and Visualization systems such as NX, Creo, Creo View and JT.
But what if you need to share your 3DEXPERIENCE data with other people, such as colleagues or suppliers, not other CAD systems?
Interactive 3D PDF documentation
Our 3D PDF solutions offer 3DEXPERIENCE users the capability to publish their CAD data into an interactive and lightweight 3D PDF document that can be used for Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Works Instructions documentation. Additional files and media can also be attached within the document, creating a full package of information.
Anybody with access to the freely available Adobe Reader® can access the interactive 3D data and are able to view, mark up and interrogate the document without the use of specialist CAD software. And just like a traditional PDF document, 3D PDF’s are lightweight enough to be sent via email.
3D PDF is a great mechanism to interact with your data and understand it in a simple way, but you are still technically looking at a 2D document on a computer screen.
Using the latest immersive eXtended Reality (XR) technologies however, adds another dimension to working with your 3DEXPERIENCE data.
Theorem-XR and the Visualization Pipeline
The Theorem-XR suite enables users to experience existing 3DEXPERIENCE data in context and at full, 1:1 scale in Augmented, Mixed or Virtual Reality (XR), for a number of different engineering focused use cases, including Design Review, Factory Layout, Training, Work Instructions, Visualization and the Visual Digital Twin.
These use case based experiences work collaboratively, enabling remote teams and home-based staff to join and work in an immersive multi-user environment, from anywhere, you just need an internet connection. Even desktop users can join a collaborative session.
The experiences are underpinned by the Visualization Pipeline, a fully automated process which enables you to take source 3DEXPERIENCE data and create 3D content for use in XR experiences, or for the creation of Unity or Unreal assets.
The newest releases of Theorem’s products for 3DEXPERIENCE users support the latest versions of 3DEXPERIENCE, and our solutions are built with development tools and APIs supplied and supported by the major CAD vendors that we have strategic partnerships with. This means we do not reverse engineer and can provide you with a robust application that offers full control over data preparation and optimization for the target formats.
