Theorem Solutions are pleased to announce that the latest update to TheoremXR, delivering a variety of new features designed to help users to extend the value of their 3D design data in the industrial metaverse. Extended reality (XR) is helping users to simplify processes, reduce costs, and improve engineering and manufacturing efficiencies.
TheoremXR Showroom, an Augmented Reality (AR) catalogue viewer enabling you take your product and component portfolio anywhere! TheoremXR Showroom enables companies to create a catalogue of their products directly from their design data for users to select and visualize in their environment using either a phone or tablet. This provides your customers with an intuitive way of reviewing products in context, using existing devices.
This can be particularly useful in situations such as an event where you may not be able to bring all your products due to the logistics of shipping, costs, or available space, but still need a way to showcase them. TheoremXR showroom is designed to remove such issues and is set up so that attendees can simply scan a QR code linked to a specific CAD model and view it in AR, allowing them to visualize the products in a real-world environment providing a better idea of scale.
OpenXR is an emerging industry standard when working with XR platforms and devices. TheoremXR will be utilizing OpenXR to ensure our applications work seamlessly on any platform without requiring extra setup from the user. Previously TheoremXR was accessed through users’ SteamVR accounts, and users who prefer to stay with this method will still be able to. However, accessing TheoremXR application will now be possible through a variety of other methods, providing users with more flexibility in how they access our applications.
This is particularly useful for users who don’t want to create a SteamVR account (or are unable to due to authorizations for example) as they will now be able to work with TheoremXR applications.
This latest release sees further support for AD FS, enabling Virtual Reality (VR) and desktop users to be given greater targeted access and permissions for their project data. This means that companies can now link their users company credentials with TheoremXR. Integrating TheoremXR with your existing active directory is much more efficient since all user permissions can be managed from one place.
With this release users have more options for using TheoremXR. By switching to be OpenXR compliant users now have more flexibility in how they access TheoremXR applications, though users who still want to use their SteamVR accounts will be able to. Additionally, with this release we support Active Directory integration for VR and Desktop, giving users fewer passwords to remember, and making it more efficient for admins to manage permissions. Lastly, with the new Showroom application companies can create a digital catalogue of their products that customers can select from to visualize in AR. This means that companies can showcase their products to more people and provide them with an engaging experience.
